This post is part of the summer blogging challenge. For more about the challenge click hereSummer is the time to catch up on reading. I'm guilty for neglecting lots reading for the entire summer so i pretty much have no excuse when it comes to summer time. I'm trying to read 4 books (one for each month) and continue reading a book a month when I'm in school (which will be difficult for me I'm not kidding when I say I have no time at school. But reading was something I had to sacrifice when I took on more responsibility (and got a Netflix account) so now I'm grateful I'm going back with my reading roots this summer.

Driving 3 hours to Nacida Wisconsin with my boyfriend today to spend the weekend with some of our friends at their cabin in the woods. (With no resemblance to this cabin in the woods, at least I hope not) Any way the drive is 3 hours long so I made a summer driving playlist! and how perfect that the #summerbloggerchallenge this week was to create a playlist and share your favorite summer songs. Whats on this playlist you ask? It starts off with beautiful Life by Tim McMorris which I've become obsessed with since I saw This video.
From there we have some The 1975, Imagine Dragons, MKTO, Arctic Monkeys and Sarah Brailles. If also been getting into San Cisco a lot recently so I threw in Awkward and Fred Astaire. and San Cisco reminded me of San Francisco so I threw in The Mowgli's too... Also Come on Eileen and Carry On My Wayward son for good measure. It's 13 tracks long, so let me know what you think! This post is part of the #summerbloggingchallenge. view the summer blogger challenge page here for more postsSo this past week I've been staying with my aunt Darcie and my cousins so I haven't had a lot of time to update my blog. However the good thing about staying with her is that we cook actual food! yes that's right, no reheated pre-cooked food, this is genuine recipe created food. So when this weeks challenge in the #summer blogging challenge was to create a recipe post it was just fate. My cousin and uncle are on a no-carb/low-carb diet so we altered a regular recipe to make it no carb by creating a nut crust. You can just as easily make a pretzel or graham cracker crust for a lower calorie nut free option. (Remember, Low-carb does not mean low-calorie!) also sorry for the low quality photos, I only had my cell phone to take photos with. This post is part of the #summerbloggingchallenge, |
