This post is part of the summer blogging challenge. For more about the challenge click hereSummer is the time to catch up on reading. I'm guilty for neglecting lots reading for the entire summer so i pretty much have no excuse when it comes to summer time. I'm trying to read 4 books (one for each month) and continue reading a book a month when I'm in school (which will be difficult for me I'm not kidding when I say I have no time at school. But reading was something I had to sacrifice when I took on more responsibility (and got a Netflix account) so now I'm grateful I'm going back with my reading roots this summer. Pawn by Aimee CarterThis book was sent to me from the Harlequin Teen panel at the beginning of summer, and read it in like 3 days! It was a great way to kick off the beginning of summer, and is really an amazing book! I recommend it to everyone. Aimee carter is really an amazing writer and if you've read the Goddess Test series you would know. If your considering it buy it through my affiliate link here. (proceeds go to supporting my blog and giveaways) It reminds me a bit of Airhead by Meg Cabot but with a more dystopian setting, still amazing though. So yeah I was super satisfied with this book Perfect Scoundrels By Ally CarterPerfect scoundrels is a book that has been on my list for quite a while. It's the 3rd book to the Heist society series and I'm pretty sure it actually came out last summer and I just never got around to it (story of my life when it comes to books.) Anyway it was a great story and I loved it. If your unfamiliar with the Heist society series it's about a girl and her friends (plus a hunky billionaire love interest) who are thieves and travel around the world, but instead of being actual thieves they re-steal stolen things (art, jewels, whatever) and return them to their real owners. Its kind of like Kim possible but more bad ass and in book form. I also definitely recommend reading these. Clockwork Princess By Cassandra ClareAgain the Clockwork Princess has been on my list for a while. I've always been a Mortal Instruments Fan, and therefore fell in love with the Infernal Devices as well. The Clockwork princess is the third and final book in the Infernal Devices trilogy, and It did a really good job continuing with and ending the series. If you haven't read a book by Cassie Clare get on it! I would prefer to start with The City of Bones (in the Mortal Instruments series) But either series can be read in whatever order. Finishing this book just made me more excited to read the last book in the mortal instruments series The City of Heavenly Fire (see Below) Light By Michael GrantThis book has possibly been on my to read list the longest and honestly the only reason I'm reading it now is because its the last book in the Gone Series. I think Light is the 6th book, but I started reading the first book when I was in 8th grade and now I'm a sophomore in college. I just feel like I need to finish this series now and see it to the end. It's a great series if you are in High School or like reading teen genres, but I feel like by the 6th book I've just been waiting too long for this series to finish. Planning to read

Perfect Scoundrels sounds interesting! I honestly disliked Allegiant because it was boring and definitely went in a different direction from the last two books!

I have been reading a lot of James Patterson novels this summer. I love his series of Alex Cross murder mystery novels. I've also read "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas' by Patterson this summer. It's romantic, heartwarming, and heartbreaking. I read it in one day. I highly recommend it! Summer is definitely my time for reading.

I used to be obsessed with the James Patterson teen series Maximum Ride, and I also liked Daniel X. (and personally liked the fact that one of the main characters shared my name) Now I feel like ive outgrown them, and he uses a lot of ghost writers so the writing style changes sometimes. I should try his older stuff and ill definitely look into the romantic one. Ive seen Alex Cross everywhere lol. That man has written so many books.

Yeah. I will get to it eventually. Its a really great series but since the last book came out a few years ago I think most of the fans have moved on. It's also been one of the longest series ever. the first book was published in like 2001, and the 4th came out in 2012, so im surprised it was able to maintain the amount of buzz with it considering that most of the readers either outgrew the series or forgot everything that happened in the previous book.
