My name is Dana Hilgers and I'm a senior studying advertising at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently I'm studying abroad at KU Leuven in Belgium, and am excited to be out of the USA for the first time! I've had this blog for a few years and am reviving it to catalog my adventures while studying abroad and anything else that I might find note worthy,

Anyway below you'll find some random facts about myself.
- When I was in high school I was obsessed with reading and as an result I own approximately 300 books. As a result my first ever blog was for book reviewing, although outdated its still live at www.danadoesread.blogspot.com
- I'm currently mildly addicted to footwear and have over 50 pairs of shoes, Most of which i never wear.
- I LOVE thrift shopping and sale shopping. (I don't usually buy anything full price ^^).
- I have a 17 year old sister. She steals my clothes a lot and gets in fights with me in public, but overall shes alright.
- I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 4 years! he's crazy. But so am I so we're a pretty good match..
- Leaving for study abroad is my first ever time leaving the country!
- Last summer I worked as an Advertising sales intern at Turner. (Surprisingly most non-media people dont know Turner... Its the little company that owns CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult swim, TNT, TBS, True TV, Bleacher Report and a few others)
- I like to read memoirs, I love to watch movies, and I'm always binge watching a show.
- I have had literally more jobs than I can count. But I love staying busy and I find it relaxing working a random part time job..
- I used to be a track athlete, and was horrible at every event. Mostly sprinting and high jump but i almost always finished last.
