** The Products in this review were given to me for free by Influenster.** As always my review is 100% honest! Im going to be Reviewing each "step" or product separately then giving my over all look at the ClearProof system along with additional thoughts. A Little start up Information The Mary Kay Clearproof Acne System is a 4-step process recommended to be used 1-3 times daily. Mary Kay claims users will see results in 1 week, but it could take up to 1 month to see the full results. The entire system is $45, but you can buy the individual products if you find that you like one but don't want to continue with the rest of the products. They also sell a smaller travel version of the set called the Go Get with smaller versions of the products for only $20 if you want to see if its for you. Step 1: Clarifying Cleansing GelThe Clarifying Cleansing Gel is pretty good. It's clear, and scentless. I usually dampen my face before I put it on and it gets to be pretty sudsy so you can tell that there's something in there that's cleaning your face. The Size of product they is good as well. As always less is more when it comes to face products and you can easily use a dime sized squeeze on your entire face. This product will last awhile and as far as cleansers go there's nothing out of the norm. It washed out easily and my skin had no negative reactions to it as far as I can tell. I give it 4 stars because I don't get a tingly feeling of any active ingredients like I do when I use some other acne products. It's really only a face wash and for the individual price of $16 I don't really think that it's worth it. Step 2: Blemish Control TonerThe Blemish Control Toner works similarly to the cleanser. It does its job and cleans your pores for you. It retails at $16 alone. The toner is important because if there's any soap residue from the cleanser it will wash away with the toner. It's the time where you squeeze into a cotton swab and the first few times I used it I was actually amazed at the gunk in my pores. My face felt tighter after using the toner, but I didn't have any negative reactions to it. (albeit i do NOT have sensitive skin) 4 stars because although its a good toner I'm not sure if its worth the extra money but its easy to use and does it job. Step 3: Acne Treatment GelThe Acne Treatment Gel is Mary Kay's version of a spot treatment. This is the product in the bundle that disappointed me the most. Spot treatment is usually my favorite part of acne sets because its usually where I see the most improvements, however with this particular spot treatment I didn't see any improvement. The gel is relatively small but it smooths out well and the formula feels rich and doesn't irritate my skin, but I gave it one star because it really didn't work for me at all. It's advertised to prevent break outs, fade scars, and reduce pimples, but really nothing happened. In fact there's a possibility that it caused me to break out, since a week later there was actually more acne in the areas where I applied this gel. Also I couldn't feel any active ingredients working to get rid of my pimples, In the past I usually feel a slight tingling which usually lets me know that its working. Step 4: Oil-Free MosisturiserThe Oil-Free Moisturizer is by far my favorite product of the system. The moisturizer is smooth and a little bit goes a long way. It leaves my dry face feeling super smooth, which is great especially since its winter. Acne Systems strip away the oil on your face which can leave your face dry and actually cause break outs because your face produces more oil in order to make up for what was lost during the wash so its super important to moisturize. My face always feels dry after i wash it or shower and this moisturizer is a great help! my face is literally so smooth you just have to come touch it to see! okay I joke a little but I was really happy with the moisturizer and this is where Mary Kay really did good. I would recommend this as a stand alone product because its only $18, where many similar products are around $30 for the same quantity. Overall RankingsThe products are all branded very well in beautiful, clean, and futuristic looking packaging, I love looking at them on my shelf. As attractiveness goes they really are wonderful. The Cleanser and Toner are fine, the Moisturizer is good, and the Spot treatment you may throw away. This package is a draw, but it didn't give me the results that I was hoping for. and there's the question of whether or not it actually caused break outs on my skin... Not too shabby in response to the price points that other competing products have. However some of these products I think would be easily replaceable with a drugstore brand, so I'm not sure your really getting your moneys worth with anything other then the toner Being from Mary Kay, you can't just walk into a store and purchase the items. You cant even order them directly online. You have to go to a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant (independent seller) and buy directly from them. Minus stars for inconvenience, but if you have one in your neighbor hood its relatively easy to order. You can also find an IBC in your area online. OVERALL THOUGHTS AND FINAL RATINGWe've tabulated the scores and the final rating for the Mary Kay Clear Proof is a 3.25 rounded down to a 3/5 score! Overall this acne system really isn't that bad, but at the same time it isn't that remarkable. if you want a pretty looking basic system this is for you. If your a big Mary Kay fan or have a friend who's an IBC this product is worth a try (at least the $20 trial version isnt so bad so you can see if its for you) What do you think? What Acne system do you use? or do you have naturally flawless skin? tell us in the commets below!

I got this through Influenster too, and I was impressed with it at first, however, once I started using it more my skin got really dry and irritated, like not even makeup could cover it up. So I'm a little iffy about it.

Mary Kay has a guarantee on all products! So don't throw anything away, just tell your consultant you don't like it, she'll fix it for you! 😜 And you can now order online. It will automatically give the order to a consultant but they won't bother you if you want privacy, they'll ship directly to you. But I think it's very convenient with a consultant. I am a consultant and I meet my customers and often can bring their orders right to them.
