Like they all say, its a new year and a new me and although I'm usually not very good at keeping my resolutions I decided this year to make some important ones that i should be able to make by the end of the year. Since its 2015 I thought It would be good to do 5 resolutions (since 15 would just be a bit much and it would be more difficult to actually make that goal.)
1. Learn Adobe
Being an Advertising major, mastering the 3 core adobe products; Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator are so important. I know the absolute basics but I want to really learn and master these programs so when the time comes for getting an internship next year I'll have a competitive edge.
2. Create my Portfolio and Personal website
I have a personal website here on weebly still in the editing stages, My goal is by this time next year to have work to put into my portfolio, and get my website up and running. (learning all the adobe tools will help too!)
3. Be a better blogger
Although I've had this blog for about 6 months now I haven't been putting in the effort that this blog deserves. My goal for this year is to have 3 posts a week that I'm scheduling in advance and increase my blog traffic, engagement and make long lasting blogging relationships.
4. Loose 15 pounds and run a 5K without stopping
A Fitness goal is one I struggle to meet every year, but this year I'm starting small. Just do a 5K without stopping and work out/eat healthier in order to loose my 15 pounds. I'm lightening my workload this semester in order to make time for me to work out consistently and am really considering buying a class pass this semester so that I can do a workout but still have fun with it.
5. Read at least 12 books
Reading is something I used to love, but as I've gotten busy, I've nearly stopped reading all together. I have a goal of 12 books, 1 per month, which is something I can hopefully reach.
