Now that breaks about halfway over, and the holiday season is over its time for some intense Netflix binge watching. If you've run out of everything to watch here are a few of my favorite binges. (links lead directly to netflix, you will need an account to watch them) Sit ComsThey're short, funny and you don't necessarily have to watch them in order. You can re-watch them forever and being only 30 min its easy to squeeze an episode in before class or during a homework break. Here are my top 3 Comedy shows

Like they all say, its a new year and a new me and although I'm usually not very good at keeping my resolutions I decided this year to make some important ones that i should be able to make by the end of the year. Since its 2015 I thought It would be good to do 5 resolutions (since 15 would just be a bit much and it would be more difficult to actually make that goal.)
Technically my semester ended last Wednesday, when I turned in my last final and went back to my room to pack everything up before I left for the semester. (In my sorority we switch rooms every semester so everything in my room had to be packed up and put on either the desk or my bed so the room could be cleaned before switching. Anyway now that I've been home for a few days and am slowly recovering from a cold I want to take a post and tell you all the things I did this semester. There's a giveaway at the end so bare with me. This semester was legitimately a whirlwind of activity, which is why it was so difficult for me to post this semester. I arrived a week early to school for work week, which is a full week of recruitment practice for sorority members. It was a ton of work that didn't end at the end of the week. Leading straight up to the first day of class. Actual Rush wasn't until two weeks later so we still has regular practices up until the start then once it started that was my main focus. The work didn't end when we offered out our bids though. There was bid day and then the semester long new member process until our members became initiated. I got my "little" or "baby" as we call them at UIUC, and thankfully had the most points out of all the Non-exec members. Academically I was enrolled in 18 credit hours of classes, and although it sounds like a lot, two of my classes were very easy, and one didn't require attendance although it was a bit more difficult. I was taking a required research advertising course, and although research really isn't for me it taught me a lot of skills for my future in adverting to make me more well rounded as an advertiser and am glad that I took it. I also took an introduction to Meteorology, which although atmospheric sciences is only vaguely interesting to me I decided to bite the bullet and take it since it cross checked for both a science and a math gen-ed. It bored me to tears at times and although I struggled a bit I ended with a B in the class so that's all that really matters. Macroeconomics is another required class I was taking this semester, but all the homework was online and attending lectures wasn't required so that was good. I was pursuing a minor in English so I decided to take Intro to Shakespeare thinking it would force me to read and appreciate Shakespeare and his plays. however I really didn't have time and just ended up looking everything up on spark notes. It was an interesting class, but I'm not so sure about minoring in English anymore. Lastly my creative classes were the good ones. Intro to Design was an 8 week long art class where the lectures were easy and as long as you followed the instructions on the homework you got a 100%. There was only one quiz and the final was a group project. I ended the class with 100% making it my first A+! I also took a class called Exploring Creativity. through the semester the class met once a week and then saw a play, art exhibit, concert etc. one night a week. The class was created because of a grant to expose students to art so all the tickets were free and it was a really fun and eye opening class. I was also very involved outside of Greek Life and Academics. I'm a writer for the Odyssey newspaper, (click the link on the sidebar to read my articles) a involved member of the American Advertising Federation chapter at my school, and I had two internships. One with Edventure Partners a company that has an advertising competition every semester, our client was AT&T and we were provided with a budget of 3,000 to create an on campus campaign in order to premote them to students as potential workplace as well as a network provider. My second internship was a Campus Rep position with Bobble water bottles. I was provided with 50 water bottles and lots of bobble swag to give away through campus events this semester. It was a ton of fun and I highly recommend the program, especially if your looking to get into marketing, advertising, PR or event planning. Here are some pictures of the events: Now I had so many Bobbles left over at the end of semester that I gave some away to my friends, sorority sisters, and family. But I saved a swag pack to give away to you! Although Bobble didn't directly give this for me for a giveaway It did come to me from them for on campus advertising free of charge and I was a rep for their company, but its a brand I represent proudly. Bobbles are made in the USA out of recycled materials, they have a filter and can be used to purify faucet/tap and drinking fountain water. I've been using mine for an entire semester and although its not the most durable it's the perfect size and shape for my needs! Winner gets to choose one of the bobbles pictured below, either Hot Pink, Blue or Black as your color. Giveaway also includes a Koozi, Pen, and Sticker. One winner is chosen, However, because this is my first giveaway, If there are over 5,000 entries 2 winners will be chosen (second winner gets bobble only, picks from remaining colors). Must be in the USA to enter. If you dont win the giveaway but are still interested in a bobble you can use the code BOBBLEROCKS for 20% off on their website! What accomplishment are you most proud of from this past year or semester?Happy December everyone!
I decided to partisipate in a December wellness challenge hosted by Linda from Fit Fed and Happy. Ill be doing it mostly on instagram, but today being the first day of the challenge, I decided it would be a good thing to post my introduction on the blog. Todays challenge is to introduce ourselves and say our goals. Hopefully you guys know me at least a little bit, but if you don't feel free to click my about page, I just Updated it as part of the challenge. Let me know what you think! ** The Products in this review were given to me for free by Influenster.** As always my review is 100% honest! Im going to be Reviewing each "step" or product separately then giving my over all look at the ClearProof system along with additional thoughts.
A Little start up Information The Mary Kay Clearproof Acne System is a 4-step process recommended to be used 1-3 times daily. Mary Kay claims users will see results in 1 week, but it could take up to 1 month to see the full results. The entire system is $45, but you can buy the individual products if you find that you like one but don't want to continue with the rest of the products. They also sell a smaller travel version of the set called the Go Get with smaller versions of the products for only $20 if you want to see if its for you. I'm home for thanksgiving and it's the first time I've been back since I left for school. Its the paradox effect where whenever your at school you wish you could go home but when your home you just cant wait to go back. This break my experience is a little different. I've been sick with a nasty sore throat and cold symptoms since last Friday and have been basically been quarantined away and haven't left my house all week. Partially because its cold outside and partially because I've been so stressed at school that I could really use some R&R. anyway I've been too sick to do much of anything except for reading, watching TV and sleeping so I decided to make my post today about what I'm most thankful for, because of today being thanksgiving and all that. (fun fact. I celebrated thanksgiving last Saturday but i was really sick then so I didn't take pictures or anything) so in no particular order her are five things Im thankful for: My Boyfriend, AlexAlthough at times he can be really cheeky, hes been super helpful this week with me and my cold. He made me soup, tee, and drove out of his way to get me hot and sour soup from my favorite chinese place. Hes gone beyond his typical boyfriend duties, and is actually a really awesome guy. Im thankful that hes stuck around through my craziness and continues to be my best friend. My FamilyBecause although they're crazy, Id be really sad without them. My dads smart and hardworking and does the best with his situation. He taught me and my sister well. My sisters awesome. although sometimes we get into full out brawls in public we always bounce back to besties. I've grown up with her so we know each other pretty well and I miss spending time with her when Im away at school. My SchoolI worked really hard to get into UIUC, (and even harder to pay for it) I'm blessed with the opportunities that i have there and the clubs and networking events I can be a part of because I'm a student. Its the most beautiful, independent, and creative place I've ever been. its helped me fall in love with my major and prepared me for my future. I've met my best friends and learned how to cope with one to many roommates in a room the size of a prison cell. Overall I wouldn't change anything! NetflixIt's my baby, my lover, my relaxation time. It doesn't judge me for binge watching shows or watching terrible documentaries or children's tv shows or whatever I feel. I've had a netflix account since 8th Grade (7 years) and because of that have binged watched many shows. Good thrift storessure. Sometimes they smell like the inside of a shoe box but where else can you find awesome, unique vintage (or last season's) clothing for less then a meal at a fast food restaurant? Given the choice over whether to eat or to shop ill choose shopping every time. Im also always thankful for a good sale too. :) Alright well this post was just a short and sweet one but what are 5 things your thankful for?
